THUNDER BAY, Ontario -- A gunsmith in Thunder Bay, Ontario has got his
wish.
William Montague will help lead a court challenge against the federal
gun control legislation that requires gun owners to register their
firearms.
Montague was released from police custody Tuesday on bail after being
charged with several firearm violations, including unauthorized
possession of firearms.
He says he spent 20 months trying to get arrested and is looking forward
to going to court.
Montague is a provincial representative of the Canadian Unregistered
Firearms Owners Association.
He says he's participated in a dozen rallies with others across the
country who oppose Bill C-68 -- challenging the government to arrest
them for refusing to register their firearms.
