Letters to the Editor

In reading all the letters about Mr. Montague over the past few weeks, I've noticed there are very few who do NOT support his cause.

Up until recently, I never gave this law much thought (except to comment on what a waste of an incredible amount of money), as it didn't interest me, or affect me. Or so I thought. . .

In taking time to find out more of all consequences involved with this law, I've come to realize, not only does it affect all involved with tourism, hunting, and sporting, but every single person. Gun or no gun.

The government, for so many years has made decisions and passed laws, and shoved these down the Canadian peoples' throats, that we're beginning to think that we as a nation have no say. The Canadian population as a whole are a compliant and peaceful bunch, and rather than fight for an injustice done to us, we just hand over more money.

Mr. Montague. . . I truly admire someone like you who will stand up for something you believe, and I have no doubt you will go down in Canadian history.

If the rest of us Canadians had the guts you have and followed your example, the government would most definitely think twice before subjecting us to another one of their "hair brained" ideas.

Thank you Mr. Montague for making Dryden and Canada proud. (most of us!)
