My family and I finally got to meet Bruce as he arrived in Windsor
Thursday afternoon. Within the hour I had to rush him down to CBC
T.V. Channel 9 studios for a interview. He had a 4 minute session with the
local news anchor for airing on the 6:00pm news and I was extremely
impressed with the way he handled himself.
A turnout of around 60 for the
rally that evening was a little disappointing, considering we had the
potential to draw four or five hundred, but overall the evening went well. Bruce's
presentation was as equally impressive as his ability to handle himself in
front of the media. CBC radio did some extensive interviews for airing the
following day and I believe everyone there went home knowing their donation
was going for a good cause.
It is only a matter of time before Bruce and
Donna's efforts get the national attention that will put their fund raising
efforts over the top and get the recognition they deserve. I only wish that
all lawyers and law enforcement in this country could see Bruce's
presentation. Maybe then they would understand the injustice of this hated
and wasteful firearm legislation. I am extremely anxious to see the
response to Bruce's wife Donna as she takes her story and message to the
general public. A strong woman with the talent to get out her message is
sure to strike fear in this incompetent Liberal government and be a
tremendous asset to the firearm community.
Bruce and Donna are to be commended for their courageous and unselfish
fight.
Special thanks to Professor Jim Thacker, University of Windsor, for all
his help!
