FOR IMMEDIATE RELEASE
Gun law protesters, Bruce and Donna Montague, were treated by the
crown as dangerous offenders Wednesday, as they appeared before a
judge to argue against the seizure of their home.
The court room was cleared and half a dozen police officers escorted
the defendants. Montague comments, "it was quite evident that these
theatrics biased the judge against us."
"The judge refused to hear our arguments, and upheld the lien against
our house," said a disappointed Montague. "Apparently our justice
system doesn't have room for peaceful, conscientious opponents to the
Firearms Act."
Montague continued, "...this tactic of taking our home away from us
really shows the true colours of our justice system... They are using
one bad law, the Proceeds of Crime law, to try to save another bad
law, the Firearms Act."
"We are more determined than ever to win this constitutional
challenge against the Firearms Act," he added.
Public outrage is mounting against the crown's bully tactics, as
evidenced by the letters and news reports at
